Integrity Champion lapel pin designProgram Description:

The University of North Texas Integrity Champion Award not only celebrates the recipients for their commitment to integrity but also serves as an inspiration for others to prioritize ethical behavior in all aspects of their professional lives. Through this program, UNT strives to foster a culture where integrity is not only valued but actively practiced, contributing to the overall excellence and reputation of the institution.

The University of North Texas (UNT) Integrity Champion Program is designed to recognize individuals within the UNT community who consistently demonstrate exemplary levels of integrity throughout the year. The initiative aims to inspire and incentivize others to follow shining examples by making choices that align with the highest ethical standards.

Definition of an Integrity Champion:

An Integrity Champion is someone who consistently exemplifies integrity at every opportunity, making ethical choices even when facing challenging circumstances. This includes ensuring compliance with University policies, completing required trainings, seeking guidance from oversight areas of compliance (such as Purchasing, Human Resources, Equal Opportunity, Research, etc.), encouraging their peers to make ethical decisions, identifying abnormal situations and alerting their supervisors, and actively assisting others in knowing where to report concerns. Integrity Champions go above and beyond by creating opportunities for compliance functions to share information, promoting awareness through initiatives like hanging Trust Line posters, and actively engaging in activities that foster a culture of integrity.
